There is nothing "bad" about fedora's

I wear it to cover my baldness.

reply

Obviously you never looked into a mirror while wearing it.

Nobody looks good in fedoras. Women hate them. They're usually not even worn with appropriate clothing. And they're typically worn by fat guys with neck beards. Do yourself a favour, embrace your baldness, and throw the fedora away.

Try a Fez. Fezzes are cool....or so says Doctor Who.

If vampires hate "plus signs" - imagine how they feel about the "square root" symbol.

Those weren't fedoras on the show. And those aren't fedoras that trendy neckbeards wear.

The hat on the show is called a trilby. A real fedora is bigger with a wider brim and looks much better than a trilby.

You are absolutely right. There are so many people out there that have a mistaken notion of what a Fedora is, and the Walmarts and Targets of the world are partly to blame. Most of the cheap hats that they sell as Fedoras are actually Trilbys. Go to any decent haberdashery and ask to see their selection of Fedoras. Chances are, they'll present to you a real Fedora, usually with a snap-brim and not crushable. They look good.

If you want to see an example of a true Fedora, look at Humphrey Bogart's portrayal of Sam Spade, or Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones (two of the most famous Fedoras in the world).

Minimum brim width is 2". Maximum is 3", but may be longer in front and back. I have a replica of the Indiana Jones Fedora (although it's cheaply made and easily damaged, so I never wear it).
