The Sexy Mailman annoyance... [spoilers]

When I first saw episode 6, it really bugged me that the photo of the mailman magically appears out of nowhere. Eleanor takes down the painting of Creepo the Clown and then instantly hangs up the Sexy Mailman - which was nowhere in sight two seconds earlier. My thought was, "She asked Janet, but they cut it." I expected to see a brief scene with Janet in the extended version, but nope, it played exactly the same. Now at the end of the season, I see that little throwaway gag had incredible significance, so it bugs me infinitely more. Where in the fork did Eleanor get the Sexy Mailman photo from?! It's not exactly a plot hole, but it's absolutely an annoyance.

She still could have asked janet but we didn't see it. I had forgotten the sexy mailman poster so thanks for reminding me.

Just because we don't see a scene of her asking Janet doesn't mean she didn't. That's how everyone gets what they want, it seems.

Also, Michael said in the early episodes that they can fly. For all we know, they might have other abilities.

My thought was that she had asked Janet for the poster some time before (just as Jason/Jianyu mentioned once he had decorated his "bud hole" with help from Janet) but had been debating whether to hang it or not -- "real" Eleanor *likes* clowns and "fake" Eleanor is trying to keep the pretense going. But she's so stressed out that if she has to spend one more second looking at Creepo the clown, she's going to lose it. So up it goes.

The real question is where did the mailman poster disappear to in later episodes? Creepo the clown is back up in the next episode and stays there for the rest of the season.

And did you notice that in The Good Place 2.0, the positions of Creepo and Crazy George Washington have been swapped? Is that on purpose? Does Michael know that Creepo sends Eleanor around the bend and so he's turning down the heat a bit, taking Creepo out of her immediate line of sight? Is this part of Michael's new "slow burn" strategy?

Layers upon layers ...
