Eleanor's note was probably planted (spoilers..duh)

I really hate what Eleanor wrote...it makes no sense. Find Chidi?

At least if she wrote, "Don't trust Michael" we would have a fun season of her investigating him and the neighborhood. If she wrote "this is the bad place" then we could follow her trying to prove that. Of course, she would have to leave the simple two words "find chidi" but she needed more.

Anyway, I think the note was planted. The whole point of this neighborhood is to have the four of them "torture" each other. So obviously...they are going to meet. So I'm thinking Michael knew of Eleanor's letter and THIS is how he's going to have them meet. He is using her "sneakiness" against her. I believe that she is smarter than to just write "find Chidi" when "Michael = bad" or "In Bad Place" would take equally as long to scribble down.

I completely agree. We don't know what happened in the "moment" their memory was erased (it could have really been ages, for what we know). We don't even know whether there were other tries from the protagonists and memory erasing during that time; we're just supposed to assume it was instantaneous.

I won't trust anything that doesn't come straight from Eleanor from now on.

I guess it won't be easy for her to find Chidi.
