Shouldn't it be called "Training Days"??

The movie was about one day in the training of a rookie cop. This is a whole series so it'll span through many days of his training. And if the rookie cop is as stupid as Ethan Hawke's character who handed his gun over freely to a bunch of mexicans at a card table with Alonzo in the other room and after witnessing Alonzo kill someone, then this show will be horrible. The very first thing they teach you in police academy is never separate yourself from your firearm.

For marketing purposes it's Training Day. Plus it just sounds better.

Ethan Hawke's character, Jake, should have never gotten in the car with Alonzo to begin with. That Monte Carlo Alonzo drove was the first sign of trouble. Now, if Alonzo drove a really nice muscle car, maybe then there's a happy ending to the movie. Also, Jake should have had a backup gun attached to his ankle. Again, a happy ending.
