Not really that hard, in my opinion. For a man of his age, he's still fairly handsome.

He's a magnificent ruin. Sort of like Peter O'Toole at the end of his career.

He looks like a hybrid of Brian May, Roger Taylor and Freddie Mercury on this photo (=too artsy, feminine and gay).
He looks much better (=great) now.

Uh, yeah, I just looked at the photo, and he makes the guy who played Dorian Grey on the Penny Dreadful series look manly. Effete of clay.

the implication that either May, Taylor, or Mercury were in the least bit handsome is astounding
