Awesome! A white girl who sings like Adele, or Pynk, oh wait, I meant that 1 hit wonder white girl who no one will remember because THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME! And let's make sure she has a tight ass and a sexy belly button because that's important when it comes to singing. And let's make her have a "black mama" figure so she can appeal to blacks and whites 'cuz we da same "girrrrl friend". Pop stars ARE NOT musicians. They're tits and ass that producers create to take your money. Unfortunately, idiot people LOVE crap sandwiches and this show is a CRAP sandwich!
I auditioned for this show for Star's role and didn't get it and I can sing so I really wanted the girl who got the part over me & lots of other girls as this was a nationwide search to be gooood. To be fair though, Jude can sing, but the songs are just autotuned. I love me some Queen Latifah though. Maybe there's a point. Maybe it's a cautionary tale and their music will get better with their Godmother's help, infuse some soul into it. I do want this show to do well as I love shows about the industry and would love to maybe get to be in future episodes. I just want to hear these girls sing live. Here's a vid of me singing Etta James live so you know I'm not full of it lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlunV2fj2OE I'd love some feedback. It seems easier for me to get acting gigs than get signed as a singer I guess cuz of marketing maybe.
That isn't the case with ALL pop musicians---and they aren't all women, as you well. Pop stars like Beyonce and Taylor Swift and Rihanna (whose songs I like) pretty much write and produce their own songs, and control their own careers--so they are not just "T&A" (which is a pretty sexist thing to say. Also neither Pink or Adele (who I also like) sound the same at all, and neither of them have been one-hit wonders. One Direction--one of the most popular boy bands around, play their own instruments---I don't see you referring to them "C and Ds" (chest and d****.) The music business has always pushed pop stars as sex symbols because that's what SELLS,period, like anything mixed with sex appeal---otherwise they wouldn't keep pushing it on the public. And you do have pop singers (or basically, just good singers, period) who have refused to go that route, like the talented singer/songwriter/guitarist India Arie, singer Chrisette Michelle, singer Nikka Costa, Jonatha Brooke, singer-songwriter Amel Larrieux, and Neely Furtado, as well as current fave Alessia Cara (with the hits "Here" and the latest one I love,"Scars To Your Beautiful) who are just making good music and not pushing for any kind of image/sex appeal.
That all being said, I liked the first episode of the show I've seen---I'd have to watch again to decide whether it will get better in the long run
Also, you need to stop calling millenials "idiots" just because they're watching a show you don't like. Practically every generation calls the next one coming up after them silly, ignorant,or tells them that they're spoiled and have things made too damn easy for themselves (I'm just old enough to be thinking that my dang self--geesh 😒.)
