2 Questions
Why was Julie mad at Christine? and what was the deal with the priest there when he said to Christine's mom not to tell Christine about something? What is it that he didn't want her to tell her?
shareJulie was obviously upset because Christine kind of blew her off to become friends with the popular girl.
As for the priest, it was ambiguous. I think the point of that scene was to show Marion’s compassion and that she wasn’t merely an emotionally stifled, anxiety-ridden stereotype. He clearly had some secret that made him take time off from teaching, and I kind of like that the film left it up to your imagination as to what that might be. I like not being spoon-fed every detail in a film.
