God is good

Excellent movie!!! It was better than the first and yes I'm a Christian, so that might make me bias. I'm reading a lot of hate amongst these reviews. I think it's funny how it says we stereo type and then put all Christians in that group. Wouldn't that be stereo type. I just want to throw a story out there to lift the mood. I was at a Christian concert, Seven day Slumber, and I was moved how the lead singer asked the teenage audience an unbelievable question. While our heads were bowed he said ,who has thought of committing suicide in the last 6 months? Well I had to look. 1 third the room had there hands up. I could see there hands trembling and I could feel there pain. Then he said, if any of you need to prey please feel free to come up to the stage. The entire room went up to the stage and got on their knees to pray. It was amazing you could feel the energy. It gets better 😉 then the lead singer ask to sponsor a kid from a orphanage that they support in a third world country. He said he would give back the value with their t shirt ,cd and poster. There had to be 100 orphan pictures on that table. I prayed for guidance to find the orphan that needed it the most.

I was at a Christian concert, Seven day Slumber, and the lead singer ask if we could sponsor a kid from a orphanage that they support in a third world country. There had to be 100 orphan pictures on that table. I prayed for guidance to find the orphan that needed it the most. So I was looking at all the pictures when I seen a beautiful little girl, with these bright green eyes and the name Genesis. I thought this had to be the one , because she had the first book from the Bible as a first name ,Right? Then I thought about it and it didn't feel right, so I tried to put Genesis back . While I was carefully finding a good spot to put her back, I noticed a girl at the bottom of the row. I'm not trying to be mean, but this girl was the exact opposite of Genesis and didn't stand out. She was first in the row and Genesis being the first book,I knew she was the one. So know in my heart I felt I made the right choice, but there is no way to ever really know or is there. As I was setting up the sponsorship the lady working the booth told me something really cool. She said thank you for picking her, because she has been up there the longest. The chances of me praying and then guessing, out of more then a 100 kids, the one up there the longest. Was no accident. Don't worry about Genesis, as soon as I put her back, a young couple grabbed her. Who knew Genesis could help another orphan girl with her bright green eyes. I hope this story brightens someone's day. God is good and he is not dead. God bless!

To Kurt-2000

Can you help me out? Monstermanic has asked so many questions that I need help answering some of them.

"God allows Free Will"
How is free will compatible with a God that both knows the future and set a very specific set of events in motion to arrive at his preferred outcome? If God is all powerful then nothing can stop him from achieving his goals, so his goals must include some people ending up in Hell. If you're going to say it's Satan's fault, again, how does this all powerful God have a nemesis that can usurp his plans?

Further, if evil and sin is born out of human free will, does that mean there is no free will in Heaven? If there is free will in Heaven but no sin, then that means God could have made us with free will but without sin.

"God could speak to the man planning on murdering someone but it's the man's choice to kill."
Is it the murder victims choice to be murdered? No. So a murder victims free will is being violated. If someone's free will is going to be violated in the situation one way or another, then why does God favor the free will of the murderer over that of the victim? Would it really be a violation of free will if God intervened? He could shield the victim in a beam of holy light, and he wouldn't be taking away the murderers ability to want to murder.

Here's a real brain buster. Not really in response to anything, but still dealing with the subject of free will. A. Is God an agency with free will?, B. Does God know the future? I'm guessing your answer to both is yes. This creates a contradiction. If God knows he is going to destroy the world on a specific day, he couldn't change his mind. If he did change his mind, it would mean he didn't know that he would destroy the world on that specific day. Just something to think about.

One more thing. What is the point of free will if we are punished for using it?

I can answer the Rapture questions but I need help on the God questions. Appreciate it.

I have had many exchanges with Kurt in the past and am not really interested in another. Nothing personal to him.

Ah, I see. I felt a little overwhelmed. I didn't know that you knew Kurt but our answers should be basically the same about free will.
