No, they'll keep pumping these out because they make money. Play up your persecution complex, and millions will go see it to have their complex "supported". Pretty sad in my opinion, considering the lack of creativity and originality in place of a pure propaganda piece.

I protest them because I'm a born-again, Bible-affirming Christ-follower---and appalling, dishonest, and poorly scripted films like this reinforce popular negative stereotypes which many non-believers already have about us.
These films are geared towards pleasing gullible, spiritually immature Christians who know little about the Bible and don't know that the ACLU often defends Christians and our religious freedoms! (I'm not fan of the ACLU for other reasons, but I can't Biblically condone this kind of propaganda and dishonesty and misrepresentation.)
Fellow Christians, can't we do better? Can't we tell the truth? There is GENUINE persecution of Christians all over the world---yet these films manufacture FICTIONAL and SILLY "persecution" instead. Why? The producers obviously believe that these kinds of fictional stories will manipulate the gullible and sell movie tickets and sell DVDs.
Meanwhile, TERRIBLE persecution of our Christian brethren continues in Africa and Asia and the Middle East and elsewhere but because those aren't "us", American Christians don't care enough to make a film about them making money.
