Season 3 Is A Masterpiece

The first two seasons are pretty good, though hit and miss at times, but the third season is a bit of a horror masterpiece. From the disturbing imagery and extreme violence and gore, to the nutso story, to the unpredictable, subversive narrative and characters, it's just brilliant.

I especially loved **SPOILERS** how they played with the traditional notion of our main character being a hero in the final episodes, turning her into one of the cannibalistic, Satan worshipping villains while making her mentally ill sister the good one who saves the little girl. Oh, and devoting so much time to developing the Satan worshipping family was also a nice touch as you come to kind of sympathize and like them by the end, almost more so than that main characters, particularly the cop and the old woman who seem utterly unhinged by the end given their actions. I also loved the whole bit when the sister flees from Satan in the area through the red door after she rescues the little girl. The way that sequence is shot is genius, like something out of a Kubrick film. And the stuff in the final episode with the exploding bodies was awesome.**END SPOILERS**

Loved it. Some of the best horror I've seen in quite some time. Not sure why it's not talked about more. Probably because it hasn't been seen by more people. Strongly, strongly recommend it to any horror fan.

The other seasons were garbage. This was something special. The moment their God came down the staircase... lost my breath. Terrifying.

The first two seasons were okay. The first season had some really dumb, poorly written moments, and the second started off strong and built up many interesting plotlines just to squander them, like the stuff with the wimpy kid who's murdered and replaced by his more confident doppelgänger, which went nowhere, or the guy who entered the house to rescue his reluctant wife and then, when that went south, wanted to burn the whole town down, which also went nowhere.

I've just started season 4 so I'm not sure how it's going to go; promising so far, but I've heard it's the weakest so we'll see.

Shame it was canceled. Sometimes it takes a few seasons to work out the kinks, and this show was head and shoulders better than most horror to come out lately, television or otherwise. Really creative, bold, unpredictable storytelling at its finest.

Season 2 started off frightening and then turned into absolute crap. Season 4 is boring with un-scary monsters and bad acting. The show had potential as we saw in how great season 3 was. Wish different writers could have been brought in with maybe an increase in the budget too to keep the show going.

Just watched S2 "Butcher's Block" and liked it well enough. I particularly loved all the family dinner scenes. Favorite character was Edie Peach, she was great. I loved her southern belle voice and demeanor. Not everything needs to be explained, but a few questions:

- what happens to Edie Peach, who was giving birth to presumably another one of those creepy dwarfs.
- what happens to Grandma Peach, left alone up at the summer house.
- what was that monster character we see at the end walking through the grass in the park?
- was it stated where this took place? I think they gave a city name, though I don't know if it was a real one. What state was this? Some of it looked like how I remember Memphis, TN.

Holland Roden and Olvia Luccardi really look like sisters. I assumed the actresses were actual sisters, or that maybe even one actress was playing both parts, until I saw a scene of them together and you could see one had a much larger bust than the other. But they really looked related.
