The makers of this series, Carnival Films, are owned by NBC Universal.

NBC Universal owns the global rights to this show but as of yet no announcement has been made about any US broadcaster airing Lucky Man.

They are a British company that NBC bought to increase their original programs outside the US. Before NBC bought them they made tv shows for whatever channel paid them to, they continue to do so after they were bought.

This explains why I never heard of this in Canada. Did any streaming services pick it up?
