I kept thinking it couldn't be him because it was too obvious, but guess I was right/wrong!

No, quite often they make unwatchable movies from really good books.

If it was an American made tv series. he wouldn't have been revealed till about series 17 😂 and it would never end. Like 57 episodes a season.

The writers of this show should all be banished to US network tv where their idiocy would be celebrated or easily ignored. Also, Nesbitt is terrible.
