Recommended until episode 8 then the unrelenting misery becomes too much

This was a fine series - the acting, direction and script worked well together to keep the viewer intrigued. By episode 8, that all changed. The pace slows to a crawl, the script dries up and we're left with nothing much to hold on to. Yes, this is heavy stuff and kudos to the filmmakers for tackling tricky subjects without blinking. But without imaginative pacing and more importantly, humor, to alleviate the oppressive nature of the subject matter, I couldn't continue. Episode 9 begins with even more crying and wailing; instead of giving us a break, the series becomes more grim and glacial, bludgeoning us with unremitting 'reality.' The viewer becomes numb to the horrors being unveiled because the director provides no respite from the almost inhuman barbarism of the characters and circumstances. Perhaps one day I'll finish the last two episodes. I hate to waste the investment that was rewarding until the eighth show. Pity is, episode 8 revealed some interesting twists that should have been fleshed out instead of concentrating on the angst and teeth gnashing of the characters.

I just finished episode 8 on Netflix and didn't know there was episode 9. episode 8 ended with the psychiatrist telling him that he killed his partner.
I feel there are too many loose ends and still need more info on Dris' death.
There must be a Season 2 brewing. The show kept me interested and I recommend it.

Hello! There are episodes 9 and 10 which tie up some loose ends and explain a lot. You have to watch them before you can call this series.

Yes, I realized it after I posted and got so happy that I watched the last two episodes right away and was very shocked at the ending at who the killer was.
Hope for a season 2.
