Ines killed Drummer. I'm not sure how you would have missed that. I'm assuming Drummer found out it was Ines and then she somehow found out and met him at the cabin and killed him, or she happened to already be there when he showed up. One of the shows biggest flaws was that they never explained how Ines knew Drummer was going to be there.
He had photos of Zoe because he was obsessed with her. He was the one who was emailing her the poems and all that stuff and presumably was the one who took all those pics of her. He was obsessed with her, but he didn't kill Driss. In fact, it seemed like he was trying really hard to move on by beginning a relationship with Marjo.
Did you not watch the last 2 episodes? Because those were 2 pretty big plot points and I'm not sure how you wouldn't have missed those, unless you didn't watch them or you massively weren't paying attention lol
I dunno, I think the denouement then was a little feeble. I did watch the last two episodes, as with the first eight, rather and somehow missed who killed Drummer. I really thought it was going to be revealed that it was Camille with one of her father's revolvers. Of course, we never heard anything about the forensics on that, but then Yoann was locked up in the mental ward and was not really privy to the investigative stuff on that.
I'll have to rewatch the last two episodes, I guess. If Ines killed Drummer, she surely a versatile weapon selector ... rod, scissors, gun .... she could use anything.
To me, the big problem is, how do we put Ines at the cabin with Drummer? Did Drummer call her to meet him there? And, if so, if he was following up on a lead, he was going against his own upset with Yoann over being a cowboy. He didn't have back-up either, which could have saved his life.
It was revealed that Ines killed Drummer within the last 10 minutes of the finale, but they never explained why or how she killed Drummer. That's my only real complaint of an otherwise awesome show. I can't imagine Drummer asking her to meet him there. It looked like he was hit in the back of the head, so I'm guessing he never saw it coming. My best guess is that she was already at the cabin for some unknown reason and panicked when Drummer showed up. She probably over heard him talking to Yoann and realized she was screwed. I don't know. All I know is I didn't trust her from day one. The way she was conveniently involved in the case at the beginning made me suspicious of her.
In the end, if Drummer hadn't let his resentment get in the way, he'd still be alive. He hid the bead he found at the cabin because he wanted to figure it out on his own and be the hero rather than let Yoann in on it and it cost him his life. If he had just handed the bead over right away and worked with Yoann rather than against him, then he wouldn't have been at the cabin and he would still be alive. It's frustrating, because I really liked Drummer and even though he had his demons and his issues, I think he was genuinely a good person and it sucks that because he decided to let his emotions get the better of him.
Great analysis. I thought Drummer had been shot, and, in fact, at first thought he had shot himself since there was so much blood on his back. Now I realize his wound was like Driss's wound.
True that about hiding the bead. I, too, liked Drummer a lot. The actor was very good in portraying him as shy but in reality he seems to me to be a fox and might have quite a future ahead of him if he isn't already a big name.
I thought it was bizarre that Ines was a well adjusted character, the only one in the village it seems then in the last 15 minutes becomes a volatile psycho obsessed with Driss....where did the fatal attraction swerve come from?
they did reveal why she did it. she lied to yoann when she said driss was starting to have feelings for her so she broke it off. it was she who had feelings for him, but he rebuked her. he was with zoe after all. she killed him for the rejection and out of jealousy.
