The cheerleader episode is great.
The twins got to unleash their invective. The cheerleaders were by turns scared, brave, and playing along.
The Inferno format works well, and the same seven final games provides a little more context for the audience even as it causes chaos for the players. The fact that the cheerleaders ran the entire Inferno and escaped, only losing one previous challenge by a hair was pretty awesome. The story was great and worked well with the contestants, and the challenges were interesting.
I hope they continue to refine and put out a couple episodes from time to time!
Technically, I'm curious if the elevator actually moves? It's got lots of panels and special effects, so it seems like it can't be practical. It seems recently the first two challenges are on the same floor with the same hallway, which leads to different rooms directed by lights. I wonder if they actually keep them in there the whole time. There are stock shots of random elevators moving, but the contestants never seem to be weirded out by it moving.
Also it seems the Inferno set isn't at all connected to the game area, so the players seem to have to be hooded to reach it.
