Diana is a mythological goddess, and a goddess of dianic wicca / witchcraft

dianic wicca is entirely feminist and goddess worshipping

Diana is also associated with light or alternatively with darkness, where her brother Apollo (sometimes associated with Lucifer) is associated with the light

The brother / sister theme is notable in this movie, represent a transposition of an aspect of the myth into the siblings in the movie.

You know I kind of thought about that. The way the husbands were the ones always been killed. The way the husbands were the ones that were getting close to Diana's true nature. How Diana would scribble the husband out of the picture and have her as the bond between the mother and the child.
