I did not like The Conjuring 2, will I like this?

Jumpscares never scare me. The only time that jumpscares have actually scared me was this one jumpscare from The Den, the jumpscares from It Follows and The Witch have slightly scared me but nothing has compared to The Den's jumpscare...

The Conjuring 2 is too long so it got boring at times.
Lights Out is only 80mins which based on what it's about is a good thing. It won't waste any time that's for sure.

Personally, I disliked The Conjuring 2, but I just got back from a screening of Lights Out, and enjoyed it far more than what I thought I would.

The plot/acting/dialogue/atmosphere of the movie is utter trash .. the only thing it has is the lights on/off scenes with the monster moving around, and you've already seen that in the trailer.

If you are going for a good story and clever setups, you will loathe it. If jump-scares don't entertain you, then its a total zero… skip

Definitely. This movie is scary, and has good performances and script to boot!

Yeah, it's mainstream horror. It reminded me a bit of The Babadook in its storytelling but Babadook is maybe the best horror movie of the past decade and this hardly reaches that height, although I thought it was effective in setting up mood.

I've always thought that the premise for movies like the conjuring is lame. I liked the premise of lights because it hasn't been overdone and it was well rendered. Good luck

Most likely not, Conjuring 2 was alot better.
