Two things outstanding here:
89.696 voted on a film not even out on Cinema (?)
Of those 88.638 voted 1's or 10's (?)

Although a reasonable punishment would be to ban all the 88.638 completely, that won't happen, but what about the brave 1058? Their votes counts as *beep* when it should be the other way around.

IMDB crew: You have to work harder on your system. It's collapsing and people have been loosing faith in it for a long time!

Another Swede!

My guess is that over 89 000 of those people have not even seen the movie.

I like arguing about movies here on IMDB but I hate that political arguments are increasing. One reason I spend less time here. This movie should be judged on it's artistic merits and not become an ideological battleground.

Yes. World audience isn't likely to get smarter or more tolerant in the near years. We have the Cuckoo-nest here. With the ability to vote.

I agree, it's absurd how easily manipulated the scoring has become.

What's missing in movies is same as in society: a good sense of work ethic and living up to ideals.

Remarkable it is!

IMHO, IMDB shouldn't allow ratings on films set to have a "Wide Release" until that actual date.

That wouldn't prevent half the world's trolls from giving it a 1 or a 10 on that date but it could help prevent them from influencing future moviegoers.
