Why are almost all later Star Trek movies about revenge of one kind or another? It gets DULL and TEDIOUS very quickly!

I mean, look at all 13 movies and think about their plots? How many are about revenge of one form or another? I'd guess about HALF. What happened to the actual Star TREK? The EXPLORATION?

The revenge plot was especially eye-rolling and tedious in the last one, "Star Trek Beyond."

I think they keep using the revenge motif because there's a lot more at stake in the movies as opposed to the TV episodes (financially). In the latter they feel they can take chances with experimental plots/ideas and not lose much if the episode is unsuccessful.
