Can't believe nobody's asked what happened to the dog.

[spoiler]We knew there was at least 1 other person out there. It's not a far stretch to imagine there was some kind of rival community, or poachers, or rogue troublemakers.

So the dog runs off into the woods. NBD, dogs run off all the time and find their way back.

Ok, but not only is the dog returned in a bloody mess, but it's also still technically breathing, so it had to be a fresh wound. Oh and yeah, THE DOOR WAS OPEN.

- Who opened the door?
- Was it Paul? Was he sick and went into some kind of sick sleep trance?
- Was it Will? Did he steal the key and do something to the dog?
- Was it Andrew? Was he a demon child or something crazy?

My theory:

* It was Travis. He was sick the whole time.
* We know that it can vary how long it takes for the sickness to manifest itself.
* The film makes a big point out of saying the dog was grandpa's dog, and showing how much Travis loves the dog. They also make a point of showing how Travis kisses the dog etc, which no one else does.
* An infected person will experience sleepwalking etc. This is why we see both the kid and Travis sleepwalking and having
nightmares.
