shareI agree. I'm always looking for shows like this and I'm pretty sure I have never heard or seen anyone recommend it. I happened to notice it on Prime a couple of weeks ago and looked it up. Based on the description it's not something that interested me but I glanced at the reviews and saw some people comparing it to the Coen Brothers and some other compliments that made me want to watch it. I'm glad I did because I immediately thought this is the best show that somehow slipped through the cracks for me.
My guess is the generic name hurt it because the audience for this probably isn't going to be intrigued by the name Patriot alone. I know I wasn't.
