People will miss Will when he is gone

Will is a great actor and all the hate at this point needs to stop. His kids may be hanging off the deep end but Will has always put in the work and effort. Will was dead on in Concussion and me and my Nigerian Co-worker laugh every time someone says his accent was off because no he sounded great and just like my buddy I work with. He became the doctor in this movie and he was no longer Will Smith. My girlfriend was in denial the whole movie that it was not him acting. Can't wait for this movie and I bet this will get many nominations.

It happens to all celebs. Especially the really successful ones. When it appears that his forcefield/armor of success has a *beep* in it, the attacks will come. It's his "turn". I predicted this. It started with the gay and Scientology rumors. Over the top criticism of his marriage, parenting style. He puts out two bombs, then his wife says something. Now the sharks smell blood. Will and his entire family have pretty much stayed off the police blotter. There are people who are just WAITING for a controversy to use. Now there is all this talk about his career being in the toilet etc... All he has to do is turn out one or two successful films, and that will replenish his forcefield/patch up his armor. If Ryan Reynolds can do Deadpool. Mel Gibson and RDJ can resurrect their careers, then so can will fix this.
Is bump. Suicide Squad will be epic. That'll start the process.

It's easy to kick a person when he's down or jump on the hate bandwagon. It produces vlick bait and gives a platform to haters. (See Aunt Viv)

Any nominations for this film will be considered token. It's only saving grace will be the cast (criticize him and you're criticizing the other heavy wieghts) and any SAG noms. That would legitimize any Oscars. Even if it's mediocre.

Lessons to be learned. NOBODY wants to put themselves out there and they're ready to run when the pressure is on and/or sit back, wait until the dust clears to say that was either a bad idea or good idea. Damned if ya do, damned is ya don't. So just look after self. If i were Will and Jada, I'd say screw you to all the haters and coons and let The Willie Lynch Syndrome continue.

Agreed. I don't get the public's need to tear down celebrities, or put them so high on a pedestal for that matter. Wtf is the fascination with these people's personal lives? Geez, they're just people doing a job.

I think Will Smith is awesome. I think he's a great actor. I have no idea whether he is a great person irl, but so what? I don't know anything about my doctor's, dentist's, or plumber's personal life, I only care that they do their job. He's had good movies and bad, but a bad movie doesn't negate his actual talent or skill. And frankly, while it's none of my business, I don't think he's done a terrible job parenting. Why are we so concerned that his kids are a little different? I think it's great that they are comfortable with who they are. Jayden is interesting and seems like he would be a tolerant and compassionate person, and while he may not be your cup of tea, or mine, I would fight anyone to support his safe self-expression. They aren't hurting anyone, so ffs, let them be. The public is the worst bully out there.

As omoxus said, they aren't getting arrested, and aren't in the news on the regular for drugs, violence, or any important reason only stupid speculation about their relationships, sexual orientation, or what they wore etc., all of which affects use IN NO WAY, so what is the problem with the Smiths?

At least people will miss him. Most people live their lives day in day out. Work hard. Never get noticed. And then they die. In the end whether WS ends up winning an Oscar his legacy will be his ability to play diverse characters ranging in multiple genres. And having the ability to make a *beep* script bankable. That was always his strong suit.

Where is he going?

reply

Food Shopping. Apparently he's doing a spinoff to sausage party where he goes to the supermarket but buys different food.

reply

Ok, so you don't know where he's going. I do.......

reply

No. I said where he goes foodshopping. Meaning the movie where he goes foodshopping. Meaning I was making a joke about a nonexistent movie. I don't know why you responded like that.

We have what we seek, it is there all the time, and if we give it time, it will make itself known.

reply

I responded that way because I didn't get your joke. My fault.
