I used to have sympathy for him, but he has continued to pick one awful project after another (After Earth, Concussion, Suicide Squad) that I've lost a bit of respect for him. His career is going downhill quickly and soon the only thing he will have left is the crappy Suicide Squad that is hated by most people. Hopefully the new Bad Boys will eventually get made and not be a complete pile of sh!t.

Because he made a lot of money for the studio in the past they let him force his way into certain movies that certain directors do not want any part of, and then he ruins it for others as other actors or even the director quits, and it ends up being a garbage film starring Will Smith. (Is currently happening on another film that may or may not get made now...and this film also had a director drop out, whether that was Will pushing for the role and making the guy quit because no one wants Will Smith forced on them, or whether he quit first I don't know but...given what I have heard probably the 1st one.)
Look at Suicide Squad, I only saw the first 15 mins but Will Smith doesn't even fit into the movie and so many other actors would have been better. He just forced his way into the role and the film was worse because of it. There is no reason for Will Smith to be in Suicide Squad lol...and when he tries "serious" acting roles and forces himself into those movies everyone else drops out and it ends up being a total garbage movie lol
Maybe they should do a remake of Patton with him in the lead role.
Hollywood will give him a double Oscar High Five!!!
