Did anyone actually see this movie?

Seems like most of the threads trashing it, are written by people who have not seen it. It's pretty obvious when you keep quoting the same remarks about it.

Go see for yourself, don't listen to the bad reviews. They either did not see it, or they really did not pay attention to the movie, AT ALL. For anyone saying the trailer was deceitful, you either did not see it, or you didn't get it.

Amen! I don't understand how anyone who actually watched the movie didn't realize the real plot.

Oh I did see it, and it was awful. Nothing in this movie felt real, everything felt artificial and I practically hated every character. What they did to Will Smith's character was reprehensible and prevented me from connecting to anyone. I almost had wished they went with the story they advertised - where it seemed like Death, Love, and Time were spirits and visited him to help him cope with his daughter's death. That would have been a more interesting story than the one that was presented to us. I can't even put into words how much this movie annoyed me.

reply

But that WAS the plot. They weren't actors and they really could choose who could see them and who couldn't.

reply

They were there to help Will Smith but they were also there to guide his friends too. Time was there to guide Kate Winslet regarding children, Love was there to guide Edward Norton back to his daughter and Death was there to help the other guy coming to terms with his own mortality. When Love showed up at the casting call, she had a purpose to bring Edward to them.

It's confirmed that they weren't actors in the end when the Death lady was next to Howard's wife when they lost their son. Also again when they're standing on the bridge, then they disappear. It's because they really are manifestations and can choose when to be seen.

reply

Thank you! I was thinking the same thing.
