I was channel surfing tonight since I could not sleep and I decided to check this episode out. its the Season2 ep2 that aired on 2/23/16. They were doing the sharpness test and I noticed at the last knife they tested the bag of what ever they used that was hung up on top already have a pretty good slice in it before the guy used the knife on it. They actually cut that person who made the knife from the competition and kept the guy who's knife didn't even cut either hanging bag because they used a leather wrapped handle and they did not feel it was a finished knife and because the tip broke on a different challenge. I just found that it was funny that the cutting test that one of the hanging bags already had a knife slice in it.

I can upload that particular scene. There was no cut on the third piece of pork. They DO cutaway shots of the prior piece of meat, just before going to the last, so you might have had something grab your attention when they first showed the third piece.

Here is a screen grab of the third piece. No cuts. What you MIGHT think is a cut, is just the way the meat is hung by the hooks and a shadow falls in the crease.

You'll notice also, that the slicing doesn't go in the direction or pattern of the crease in the meat.

You'll also notice that when he starts to cut, it actually takes the crease out for the moment.

It was not pork or meat they were cutting. They had burlap kind of bags filled with small pieces of blue pellets or something. When testing the third knife before he took a swipe at at the bag the bag already had a pretty big slice in it before took a swipe at it with the knife. They were brown looking bags one on top and one on the bottom that when cut blue pellet type things poured out them the top bag was the one with the slice in it and was the first one he cut.

OK... sorry for the misunderstanding.

Is it the small abnormality in the bag that you saw on the top bag, because this is the first shot of the third set of bags.

It looks like some kind of "different" colored burlap. He doesn't cut it there anyway. He cuts just below it about a half inch and you can see it here:

I hope this is right, because this is actually the last episode aired, not S02E02.

I am only going by what I can see and it still looks like it had been cut even zoomed in. I am not saying it was just looks that way. Also I am only going by the title that the history channel gave it which was forged in fire Season 2 ep2.
