Final finish

I realize the studio blades are rushed and all they need the first round of blades to do is pass the test and move on to "handle" stage, pass the chop test (or whatever), and hope to get into the Final Two. But even when the finalist have 5 days at their own forges and workshops the finished blades always look so "homemade" and unfinished. Some of these bladesmiths claim to be knifemaking pros, and I'm sure the blades do the job, but I haven't seen a single finished blade that anyone would buy if they had a choice. To be fair, I can't forge a blade, and every contestant knows more than me about making blades... But I've bought more than a few knives in my life, and not one of them ever looked quite as unfinished and homemade as the final winning blades. Am I out of line? Seriously.
