He could have brought his own die from home and done it while it was hot, wouldn't take more than a couple minutes tops.

shareNo, all of the contestants bring in a bag or pouch or something that contains their specific smaller tools. They use their own hammer and not really sure what all (files, etc.) they might use of their own vs provided tools. But they definitely all bring some amount of tools to the show.
And I too noticed that Dave stamped his blade.
