Are the screenwriters retarded?
Why did they make dr. Charles act like an *beep* all of a sudden?

Dr. Charles was acting completely irrational. I get that he wanted to advocate for his patient, but when a surgeon determines that a procedure is necessary and life saving, why would you fight to reverse that decision? I have always loved Dr. Charles, and now they're turning him into a bitter, overprotective dad??
Also, Sharon Goodwin was drinking the same koolaid. I felt sad for her because her first love was dying, but she was rude and disrespectful toward the doctors, while they were doing their best to save him. When they realized he was beyond saving, she just could not let him go. In the end she came around, but for the majority of the episode, Goodwin was not herself; it was just odd.
I completely agree with the Goodwin thing. It was really odd...considering this is someone who she hasn't been in contact with or even seen for probably 45 years. It just seemed off and forced.
shareIt's called being DESPERATE for storylines! How many "I'm dying so PLEASE save me" storylines can you have?? So they have to mess with the heads of the characters sometimes for additional plotlines!
