Has Anyone Watched Season 2? *********SPOILER ALERT*********
It was very different from Season 1. Anyone want to discuss?

share2/3 thru - back to you shortly
I agree a more traditional structure with three story lines coming together. There is so much going on and so much unexplained that likely never will be e.g. the ear seeds and how these from sort of of dimensional map. We still don't know how she became sighted do we - although we have to assume that that was something to do with a dimension leap? We don't appear to be done with the house yet - Buck/Michelle is planning to return and why the collapse of the vision through the rose window? Who is karim who is the FBI guy? Both series end with an ambulance chase but this time Steve catches it!!
It's all good but it will never end and so under promoted.
Season 3 looks to have a bigger budget with filming in the Uk
I actually thought it went in a couple too many directions this season. While I enjoyed it for the most part, like you said there is so much unexplained that I found myself losing interest on and off. There didn't seem to be reasons for some things to occur, some things seemed just for the camera, if you can understand what I mean(?)
Yes, I would like to know who Karim is and why is he the only one who could save Michelle (Buck)? The seeds really got me - I found it very disturbing actually but didn't understand what the heck the point was??? And yes, who was the FBI guy? He really didn't do much of anything.
I didn't have any questions at the end of Season 1 but my head is spinning after this season. I am looking forward to Season 3 and hope that more things come together and more questions are answered.
Didn’t the Octopus say that Karim is her brother, and when she said she didn’t have a brother, it said that he was sent here to watch over her (The OA).
The FBI guy appeared in season 1, and when the kids called him into the motel, he also revealed that he was sent to guard the OA.
That being said, we don’t actually know what are they, only what is their mission.
I’m also looking forward for the season 3, I quite enjoyed this season.
I didn't catch the octopus saying that about Karim, thanks for clarifying. I didn't remember the FBI guy either. There was just sooooo much going on it was hard to keep up with it at times. I just hope things come together better in season 3.
shareYes, I agree there was so much going on. I hope season 3 will be the last and they wrap everything up neatly.
shareI read an interview with Jason Isaacs that they have 5 seasons mapped out and did before they even started. So who knows if the viewership will warrant 5 seasons. I just hope that if the cancel it they give us an ending.
shareNot yet, plan to start season 2 tonight.
shareYeah. Definitely different than Season 1. Like two completely different sets of writers and directors.
For me, Season 2 ended with Episode 3.
I struggled to maintain interest almost from the opening of Episode 1, and gave it a try for two more after that, but the story line did not have the quality that it had throughout the first season. As Season 2 descended into one cliche after another I decided to give it up.
It was like the script writers shot their wad with the first season, and then decided to keep some kind of story line going for the sake of ... what ... money? They certainly weren't interested in continuing with the same magical, fresh quality that we came to expect from the first season.
No, The OA is one of those series that would have been better being left as a one-shot wonder, giving us fond memories of the creative talents of the actors, writers and directors. Season 2 only leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I definitely have no desire to explore it further.
Yeah, that's just how I felt mid season and I stopped watching it for awhile. But then I went back to it and watched the entire season. I kept thinking everything would eventually come together but it didn't. I will be watching season 3, just out of curiosity to see what kind of wild fantasy stuff they come up with. For some reason, some shows I just can't walk away from, even if I'm not totally crazy about them. Other shows I just turn off and that's it. Maybe because I enjoyed season 1 so much, who knows. . . . . .
shareThe season was all over the place.
shareI feel rather differently. I really enjoyed it. I didn't find that it wandered that much more than season 1. I do want to know where it's going and really hope that they don't leave us with all these unanswered questions.
