People realize there is nothing "supernatural" in this, right?

Regardless of what "real world" stuff actually did or did not happen or what time period we are discussing (like being kidnapped and held prisoner etc), there is no metaphysical/paranormal/miraculous/supernatural/divine/etc things happening anywhere in this show. They can't really open portals and the movements don't really "do" anything.

Incredibly similar to her earlier movie Sound of My Voice. It's a combo of mental illness(es), deception, and/or desperate people willing to do or fall for anything.

Hack writers and directors have glommed on to the idea of making tense downbeat tv drama as a way of appearing like great artists. During the tense holiday season that's the last thing I want. Interesting, but I'm glad it was over in 8 episodes. The stupid failures to escape by the victims and their compliant passivity finally made sense when you realize the whole thing is a delusion in her mind. I resent being jacked around by writers with no payoff. If they want to make 'artful' television drama they should go to France. Then I can not see them on a foreign film festival.

I'd like to give you a standing ovation.

Did you see True Detective first season? Yes, the actors were great, but what happened on the final episode really made me feel jerked around with. Myself and tons of people were looking for clues, analyzing every frame during the whole series. The end was a big nothing.

Well Netflix works in France as well, but the stupid mentality of ''my taste, my rules'' seems to be very common here on imdb, as much as you hated or disliked, many others liked or loved it, good thing we dont have the same taste for everything. I also find a little bit pretentious to say what is or what is not real in this series. I've seen a lot of people claiming things 100% sure about it, something I would a lot of people understood is that nothing is sure in this series, everything is debatable, besides the others works from the past

This is a work of fiction for one thing...so yes, the possibility of it having those components is quite real.
Why do you think this story must follow your logic and show only one possible outcome?
According to the author and actress it is real from her standpoint but left ambiguous so it could be up for debate.

Except for some shows I'm seeing this a lot wth Netflix's originals. It's just making me remember what I thought in the late 90's and early 2ks about American TV shows especially children and teen shows compared to what I've seen overseas. Either our shows are really dumb or they are trying to hard to be smart. Folks also have forgotten something called lighting for some reason.

Sadly true

Going blind and then getting your sight back I'd say can be down to supernatural like shown in the show
