This kind of CGI animation should have already been the status quo

shareIt’s sensational. Couldn’t have been more perfect for a comic adaption.
But! Sony wants to keep it for themselves...

Understandable I guess. Lol
it's the most beautiful animation i've ever seen.
i used this cliched, worn out word in another thread here recently to describe it, & i should avoid using it again, but it's the only one i can think of: the animation in this film is flat-out visionary.
it's a film that makes everything else i've seen, certainly hollywood large-budget films, so plain & average & tired. it's truly a breath of fresh air.
Did you see it in 3d as well? I can't imagine it not 3d
sharei've seen it in both formats. i probably shouldn't admit this, but i've actually seen it 4 times. i rarely catch a movie twice in the theatre, & i've certainly never gone 4 times, but i think the animation in this thing is truly something to behold & i just can't get enough of it.
i generally avoid 3d showings, so my first two viewings were in regular format. i thought it looked tremendous, spectacular, & was happy to leave it at that, but i heard through a few sources that the 3d was particularly effective here, so i decided to give it a try. & i have to agree that this is one of the rare times where i think the 3d is completely worth the upcharge.
Good to hear, as a big 3d fan... but I'm also a 3d snob so I only endorse the best uses, and this definitely ranks
shareIs there some kind of 3D "double vision" in the backgrounds? I noticed it a lot on my second viewing, and thought I'd walked into a 3D showing without glasses by mistake. But no, as foreground imagery was perfectly 2D. Was that deliberate? I thought my eyes were going funny!
