But seriously: He is NOT the same Spider-man (hence his name being Miles Morales, not Peter Parker). It's a different universe (hence the word "Spider-Verse" in the title). As others mentioned there are even other races/species/sexes.
The movie explains it very well.
BTW: He's half black/hispanic.
