We need Rambo and Terminator in this series. Now that Paul is gone, they need to bring in some heavy hitters. I like Vin, The Rock, and Statham but come on guys....Rambo, Terminator, and John McClane. Let the godfathers of action show these guys how it's really done.
Atleast cast them as their fathers. Sly can be Vin's dad. Arnold for The Rock. And Statham's dad can be Bruce since they both share male pattern baldness. That would rule. Give Sly a red headband and a .50 caliber machine gun and have Arnold in a choppa - that would easily push fast 9 past the 2 billion dollar mark. Sly and Arnold are legends.
Kurt Russell is great, but he's 2nd tier compared to the God tier of Arnold, Sly, and Bruce. These guys were the original founders of Planet Hollywood because they were once the biggest movie stars on the planet.
Yeah no, they wouldn't fit in well in this franchise. I also wouldn't want this to turn into an Expendables movie by having all of these guys in.
Beyond that, they are well past their prime... Kurt Russell however fits in this franchise a lot more than all of these 3 combined. These stars were big during the 80s and 90s but not so much now, they should just cast people like Statham as in casting newer action stars and other celebrities, Liam Neeson would be more fitting.
Also Bruce Willis looks bored in whatever trash movie he is in nowadays, he would be phoning in pretty hard in a FnF movie I feel.
Fair enough, it sounds like you aren't really a fan of them. But how are Liam Neeson and Kurt Russell relevant? Liam hasn't had a hit in years and Kurt's been washed up since the early 90's. Sly just had a 100 million dollar hit with Creed, was nominated for an oscar last year and is in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 this year. He's more relevant than any of those guys.
Sure they aren't in their prime anymore, but we know Vin and The Rock are big fans of Arnold and Sly -- it would be fun for the audience to cast them as their fathers and have them show up in cameos. They can't bring in Clint Eastwood or Sean Connery, this is the next best thing really.
Kurt Russell really fits in with this franchise. He's not a badass fighter, he's just a great actor.
The other guys already have done their Terminator's, and Rambo's and Die Hard's. I like them all, but yeah they already have done Expendables. Leave it at that.
Oh sh*t you know what? The OP has never even payed attention to the first The Fast and the Furious. Dom's father was killed in a Nascar type race. So yeah you are just talking like whatever. Yeah you clearly don't give a sh*t about this franchise.
Oh please, stop being dramatic. He's dead? So what. Since when does that matter in these movies? Statham killed Han and he's teaming up with The Rock. Letty came back from the dead.
Maybe Dom's dad faked his death or he survived the crash and had amnesia like Letty. So if they cast Sly as Vin's dad, maybe they can say that due to injuries in the crash, Vin's dad has a hard time speaking english and one side of his face looks paralyzed. If they go with Arnold as Vin's Dad, maybe he got amnesia in the crash and woke up in the hospital thinking he was an Austrian man which would explain the accent. Boom, problem solved.
Point being, Rambo and Terminator being in these movies. If they want to make the greatest action franchise of all time, you can't do it without Arnold, Bruce, Sly and Clint Eastwood.
And to the guy who said Mel and Nic Cage, great ideas! Just shorten the screentime for Vin, The Rock, and Statham who aren't that interesting anyway and cast Mel and Cage in leading roles with Arnold, Sly and Bruce. Greatest movie ever made, GUARANTEED.

Yeah I'm sorry but this is simply not true, if that's the case than the Expendables franchise might as well be the best action series ever, yet movies like The Raid 1 and 2 and John Wick are better than that and they don't have Rambo or Terminator.

You, sir, are talking out of your bottom. Sly, Arnold and willis would not fit this film at all. Saying that it can't be done without them is, to be honest, funny. Was it a serious suggestion?
