maybe there threatening to kill Brian and Mia if he doesn't help them out with there mission, there isn't many other explanations why he would turn on his team otherwise

I really hate what they did to dom... he was suppose to be a thug, who kows how to fight and drive cars. But now he is also a genius mastermind? I dont buy it...

They ruined F&F for me... but i guess its still gonna be entertaining action movie

Your over thinking the franchise fast 5 was simply a reboot all the characters were changed in 5 from what they used to be fast 1 is just a point break remake its all right but nothing special fast 2 is easily the worst film of the franchise 3 is once again all right an all most as good as one 4 is a redo of the first in set up an five is the reboot an the rest carry on from there

He's probably working as a double agent and is working with the police department on this one. Hell maybe Hobbs is even in on it. Dom bumping him off the road could've been staged between the two.

I believe Johnson & Diesel are in on the heel turn. It has to look convincing so they both are trying to get Dom undercover.

I strongly believe that the reason he turned against the 'FAMILY' is because he is protecting them from something that will hurt them... and he simply can't tell em because it's part of a deal with Theron... just a thought...
