although only one episode in I dig "the get down" Im currently reading "Cant Stop, wont stop..." The Movie brings some of the chapters in the book to life, and book gives a great backdrop to what was going on during that time frame in the movie.

Jadens character reminds me of Rembrandt from "The Warriors"

The feel of this movie is very, 'The Warriors' does Broadway... Sets, wardrobe, dialogue... Just a wee less bleak...

I've only seen the first ep but I got the Warriors feeling too in a few scenes, the gang chase & a few haircuts. The Bronx setting aswell helps the cause. Can't wait for the 2nd ep as very impressed so far...
