Rumi = Basquiat
Couldn't help but notice they are using Jean-Michel Basquiat as a prototype for Jayden Smith's character:
- Starts as a graff writer but interested in art
- Reading an Andy Warhol book at the dinner table
- Exploring his emerging biseuxal feelings at the party
I'm interested to see where they go with this angle as Jayden isn't the best actor but the character is more interesting to me if they push him down the Basquiat archetype path.
Thoughts?
