good if I don't like musical ?

No, it's not your traditional musical at all---the music is well integrated into the show---like when the teens go to a club or a house party---places where you would actually hear music on a regular basis in real life. I'm actually glad that it's not a traditional musical with musical numbers, because hat would have taken me out of the show, big time.

The music you hear doesn't pop up for no reason. There's actual background music and of course the dances, singing, and DJs that's being done by the characters in the film

You're probably talking about those musicals where the singing happens completely random and everyone is singing which takes you out of the story and delves in what can almost be considered pure fantasy. Nope this show is not that kind of musical. Whenever someone is singing in this show, it's entirely story appropriate and not at all random. And only people that refer to themselves as singers or entertainers partake in the singing/rapping. Its not a musical in the traditional sense. its a musical in the sense that the story involved people wanting to partake in the music industry. All movies or shows involving the music industry has its music numbers but each and every one of them are story appropriate and don't delve into pure fantasy where everyone is dancing and hopping around on tables singing bullsh_t like you see in most Broadway plays. No its nothing like that and thank god for it too cause I hate musicals like that. No this show is most definitely a drama, only it involves singers/rappers.
