Is this meant for children/youngsters only?

For what kind of target audience is it aiming? I'm going to try this series anyhow, but I was wondering about this, having only seen the trailer of it (are adult people even featured in this?), if it is meant to be a show for children or teenagers?

I'm not that old myself, but I found Stranger Things, while amusing, to be a bordeline Disney children's serie.

Okay, thanks in advance for your replies.

Target: anyone who has heard music.

Idk about any Disney children's series, but they oughta be better than this draggingly boring Stephen King wannabe piece of my life i prolly won't get back (& it's ok) thingie that was Stranger things...

...anyway i only saw the first ep* of The Get Down, & i liked it despite the relative campyness, it was 'entertexhilarating' for me @ least (not sure about ppl wo aren't into hip-hop, if they even exist fo'real ;).

Oh & to quote a line from ep 2 (*edit) : " I make magic, you make excuses. This ain't Disneyland, this sh*t is the fvck*ng Bronx."😀

(& yeah there's plenty adults :)

Wow.

I really don't know what to say to you, except try for less pretension in life.

To the OP:

THE GET DOWN is definitely not a kid's show by any stretch of the imagination---the language and violence alone would give it an R rating,if it was a film. It's basically for anyone over 18 and up, and especially old-school hip-hop heads like myself, who would really appreciate the history of it more. And the story focuses on both teens and adults. So,yeah, this is basically a coming of age story for some of the characters, but, essentially, it's a drama for grown folks aka adults. Teens might like it, though, because of the teen characters and the hip-hop aspect of it.

don't you think that a show that takes place in the 1970's would have appeal to older people as well OP?
