Love nas love hiphop really wanted to watch this

Then seen Jaden Smith in the cast and can't do it ...I know Hollywood is listed with people only getting famous because of who they family is ... The vast majority of them are not good some are totally rubbish and then you have Jaden even worse than that.. Even his biggest defenders have to admit he is only getting these parts because of his name .. There are so many far more talented people that can't get in the door but this twat gets a free walk . When is enough enough?

Why do people care so much?

Stop reading gossip sites, or watching reality tv, or whatever it is you're doing that makes you care so much about celebrities and their kids.

Sure it's nepotism, but so what, he's okay in the show and nepotism is everywhere anyway.

Just watch the goddamn show and then tell us how you feel. Or don't, it's up to you.

How could you possibly know that he got this job because of his father. If that was the case, don't you think he'd be in some big name movies?

Are you for real seriously? He has gotten big movie roles and been awful in everyone one of them... Yet still gets work on the basis of his name

Yes, I am serious. I don't know, maybe you're simply jealous of Jaden. You seem to care too much. 

There's plenty of talent in this show. To not watch because one actor then to broadcast it seems quite lame. Oh well, enjoy not watching 

How do you know he got this because of his name? His father had nothing to do with this project, so he definitely didn't get it from him. Tired of people bashing this kid simply because he's Will Smith's son. He's not even the star of THE GET DOWN, so I don't even understand your whining about him. And he's not the only offspring of a famous person who gets work in the movies, anyway, so why single only him out? He's rarely in the press doing crazy s*** like Charlie Sheen used to or anything like that. He's also done only a handful of films and was actually good in two of them. He definitely seems to have matured as both a person and an actor, and his role as an eccentric tagger (graffiti artist) in TGD was actually kind of unique.

It is a small role and he is tolerable. Justice Smith and Shameik Moore are very worth it.

To the OP:

The thing is, Jaden Smith is not even the star of this show----he's only playing a supporting role. This is also probably the first thing he's been in that wasn't produced or made by his dad. Like I said before, I really don't get the hate for him, but he's only in a small percentage of the show. It's really about all the other characters. I also don't know why people are hating on him so hard for being the child of a move star and getting parts since he's not the only one in Hollywood who would be trying to get by on a famous name. Plus he's only been in two other films (I though he was good in THE KARATE KID, considering his age, and in the case of NEAR EARTH, his performance was actually okay---I just didn't like how his dad played down so much of his natural charisma in the film---that's realy the only problem I had with it---that, and how it seemed watered down with no real edge to it.

Yeah he sucks, who cares. He is hardly in this. You are missing out on a great show for something very petty. But if things like that are really important to you you probably won't like this show anyway and should stick with Nascar or whatever the *beep* you watch.

I just got done the show. I'm not a big fan of his either..but I wasn't about to let that stop me from watching a very good show. He's just a minor supporting character anyway..and there was nothing irritable about him. I thought he was cool in his small role.
