Suite Life At Camp

Well, it's obvious that Bunk'd is a spinoff of Jessie as Suite Life On Deck was a spinoff of Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

But during season 2 premiere week it suddenly hit me while watching Nathan Arenas, with his longer hair, Jorge is the new Woody. Both Nathan and Matthew Timmons on their shows are/were chubby (or as we were allowed to say in the old days, "fat"), and Jorge and Woody wear glasses, have similar curly hair and are farty and hygiene-challenged. But Woody was more gluttonous than Jorge, it seems to me.

Sometimes I wonder if creators of one show unconsciously cast similar-looking actors to play similar characters who were/are on another show.

Yeah, I know filankey is not a word, but it's gonna catch on.

Except Bunk'd isn't nearly as funny, witty, well-written, or entertaining as Suite Life on Deck.

So true, so true. So much more material to work with. A floating high school that stops in exotic ports? Talk about the ultimate field trip!

Bunk'd has grown on me, but not much you can do with summer camp: adventures in canoeing (watch out for that waterfall!), food poisoning du jour in the cafeteria, today's "talk" at the Spot.
