So guys can be sexy, but girls can't? Geeze, Disney!

I think it's a bit sexist to imply that guys have to be sexy, but girls don't. in "Liv & Maddie" they fought against the rating systems and said it's wrong for people to judge girls by their looks.

But in "Bunk'd" they had no problem with Xander taking off his shirt to show off his abs and Glady's actually tried to SELL HIM! Saying it's OK for him to be judged by his looks and being an object that you can sell.

And you'd NEVER see on Disney someone saying to a girl, "Show 'em the cleavage!" which is equivalent to a guy's 6 pack. Gladys on Bunk'd though, told Xander, "Show 'em the 6 pack, kid!"

I too, thought it was strange that a show (liv & maddie). That had entire episodes dedicated to not rating girls looks, and gender biased red carpets. Would turn right around and not only have a guy open maddie's drink with his abbs. But body shame diggy for not having any in the same scene.

Disney Channel just loves to objectify men.

Glady's actually tried to SELL HIM!
Yikes. What was his reaction to that?

Trust me, it's annoyed me for so long how gender double standards have flipped to where everything is considered oh so terrible for females and yet it's fine for the same things to happen to males. It's also pretty common for male characters in shows to have someone do something inappropriate to them or men being married to women who are all in control of the men. Then females watching shows think it's ok to act all bossy, as well. Or to hit men....

Anyway, I could go on and on. Not just about shows, but in real life.... all the things women get away with and men don't. Then the irony is that feminists imply that women have it worse than men. lol.
