Maybe i missed it but did they explain how she just had $40,000 to pay for Hopper's freedom? As far as i remember Enzo told her the amount, then shortly after she was just like "I'm going to the bank to get the money to get Hopper back!". I don't remember her explaining how she has that much money.

shareThat whole plot with Joyce and prison break makes no sense. Its idiotic, unrealistic. And its probably created only so that they would give some screen time to Joyce and let her do something.
They have like 20 main characters now. And for each one they must create some dialog and storyline. So for Hopper and Joyce is was that boring prison escape.
