Is it really a 5.5/10 movie?

I'm not really interested in watching Mulan... but I am curious about the rating... does this 5.5 IMDb rating have to do more with something related to behind-the-scenes or maybe even the way the movie was originally released in which Disney+ subscribers had to pay to be able to watch?

Or it is actually a 5.5 movie?

I think it is better than its rating. I suspect some people voted it down because of the way it was released. It is more like a 7/10 movie, in my opinion.

17% voted 1*. They were all triggered when Yifei Liu said something sensible about Hong Kong. Predicted China would crack down hard if the violent protests inspired by Occupy protests in the US continued. Must have been in her fortune cookie!
