Alexandra Daddario + Kate Upton

I understand why Kate Upton did this movie, but why did Alexandra Daddario? The former is a washed up model who's nearing the end of her career (evidenced by her recent weight gain), but the latter is a rising superstar who starred alongside The Rock in Baywatch and has a brimming career ahead of her in Hollywood, should she choose the right roles. IMO, she should have said NO to this movie. Anyone else agree?

Probably a contractual Hollywood obligation thing. 'Do this to be be able to do X' Or if we do X for you, you have to do X in the future e.t.c. That kind of stuff.

I don't think so. Those type of arrangements typically compel actors to do big blockbuster superhero type movies, and in exchange the actor gets to do a pet project, like an Indie film.

This film, The Layover, is low budget, low production value, and all around terrible. The most likely scenario is that Daddario is friends with the director/producer and is doing it as a favor.

well you are wrong. ever heard of the casting couch?

reply

Don't agree. Hope Miss Daddario plays some Shakespeare for you, I'd for one really enjoy the movie and care less about the career of one or the other. I can picture you already like as principal from the school Daddario's character teaches. That is the power of movies over me. They bring joy, especially them, the actors.

Why should she have said no to one of the best comedies in recent years, dumbass?

reply

The only thing wrong with this movie was that there wasn't a 3-some with the male lead.

As gorgeous as these two women are, I am dumber for having watched this film.

William H. Marcy is probably the main reason why Alex signed on. The bigger question is, why did Macy take on this project?
