The whole faith vs medicine, God vs magic conversation is getting old.

The banter focused on these topics is getting tiresome really quickly. Where are all the fun supernatural elements they teased would be part of the show?

reply

There will be no supernatural elements. This show is just a live action Scooby Doo, where the whole point is to teach the audience that ghosts and goblins don't exist, like it's made up of a bunch of five year olds who don't know any better.

God is supernatural or fantasy as it were.

You are so cool.

The supernatural elements are more in the vein of "there is a logical explanation for this, but how do you explain that then."

The piano playing at the end of The Maggie's Redress when no one was there.
The boy's date of birth and his knowledge of things not in the diary(how did he know where the body was or how he died) in A Dish of Adharma.
Doyle's wife's recovery at Doyle's affirmation of God, and her relapse the exact moment the healer lost his faith, along with Houdini's condition and it's timing in In Manus Dei.

These are the mundane little signs of something MORE that is in sync with real life experiences. The series is designed to encourage critical thought, while not denying the unexplained and that we must except some things defy reason.

That is the point of the show, that they disagree. Houdini debunked supernatural things, including mediums, throughout his life, while Doyle believed in them even when told by them that they used tricks.

It is always fun to have show reach out in "this matter." Sadly we won't get a Halloween ep😞.
In fact I think this show is right on cue with how things have spiraled recently with the topic of religion. The show has handled it tactfully.
