I'm watching this for the first time, May 30, and it reminds me so much of The Murdoch Mysteries/The Artful Detective in style which was set about 10 years earlier in time.

Yes, it does have the same feel as The Murdoch Mysteries/Artful Detective. I guess that's one reason I like it.

Christina Jennings is a producer on both shows. I don't know if she's related to Maureen Jennings, the creator of Murdoch.
