Liking the show

I never thought I would like this, but it has really grown on me. I still am not a fan of the many historical anachronisms that are in Houdini and Doyle, but I am enjoying it none the less. Funny, vaguely mysterious and scary, with solid characterizations, and occasionally deep in thought. The three principal characters are all enjoyable and have good chemistry. I hope they renew it for one or two more seasons. No more because I think the show doesn't have the legs to go longer than three seasons and still be good. I hate to see good shows go past their lifespan.

Agreed that it was surprisingly decent.

When I heard about it I wanted to watch it, but I did feel at first it would be made a bit 'silly' and with a new adventure every episode but no follow through. But actually it wasn't, and care was put into it to give it a depth. Every episode kept me watching and some episodes really surprised me how dark they seemed to be going in content, so I'm impressed with the chances they took.

Another series would be good!; there's many more mysterious tales to tell... but the amount of cancelled shows these days I am a tad dubious whether it will happen.

I like the chemistry between the actors. Plus the depth they are giving their characters.

They do have a nice team of core characters with good actors to play them, don't they.
