It also has corpses reanimated by super Nazi science, and an imaginary military plot to take out an enemy radio tower. It is not meant to be a historical documentary.

I didn't mind since it isn't intended to be historically accurate and there is nothing wrong with making movie for all Americans, black, white, brown, yellow, red. That said, they put quite a bit of effort into getting a lot of details right.

I haven't watched the movie since it was first released, but if I remember correctly, they address the inclusion of a black soldier in a white squadron in the film. I don't recall the in-story reason they gave, but I remember thinking it was well done at the time.

I need to watch this movie again it was a good one.

TBH I wasn't giving it my full attention. They might have mentioned it but there didn't seem to be any racism or indication the black guy didn't belong.
