919 million WW
Ouch, queen wont be happy, on track to beat Frozen, another failed anti Disney prediction from queen

shareHow is it "on track to beat Frozen". Almost 400 million shy of it. U.S. might have another 100 million tops.
shareQueeny makes a joke! It's 85% of Frozen's $401m. Will reach a billion Fri or Sat.
shareWe're talking global gross here.
The first film made close to 1.3 billion. Is this going to make another 400 million? Last time, Frozen made 250 million in Japan alone. Frozen II will struggle to hit 100 million this time out. It's only at 55 million there and theholds aren't nearly as strong as the first with another 40% dip this weekend .
[–] QueenFanUSA (2726) a month agoYes everyone was referencing global gross but you were the only person to NOT see the obvious.
We're talking global gross here.
The first film made close to 1.3 billion. And your pointing out of data points for Frozen will only support how ill-informed your comments are. Frozen II will be closer to 1.4 Billion than Frozen (2013) will be to $1.3 if Frozen II nets another $10 Million dollars.
Is this going to make another 400 million? Why yes it did. And then some. 👍
Last time, Frozen made 250 million in Japan alone. And you eagerly extrapolated one region's overperformance as indicative of how Frozen II would or would not perform WW? Why would you commit to such ineptness?
Frozen II will struggle to hit 100 million this time out.Well would you look at that? Frozen II in Japan did exceed your self-imposed standard for performance for Frozen II in Japan. Yes $103.5 Million is indeed larger than $100.0 Million.
It's only at 55 million there and theholds aren't nearly as strong as the first with another 40% dip this weekend. And yet Frozen II performed quite well in Japan. Hmmmmm, why was that? Were the holds much better than how you interpreted them?
Norrinrad would you please stop it!
share[–] QueenFanUSA (2730) 2 hours agoYou're going to have to be a bit more precise here QFU. Please stop what??!! Plus I don't have any idea what the "It" is that you are referring to and why the sentence needs an "Exclamation" point? 🤔
Norrinrad would you please stop it!
[–] QueenFanUSA (2737) 8 days agoWhere to begin? Let's start with your Hobby or Passion in Hate Following Disney's Box Office estimates, projections and performance, shall we?
Norrinrad would you please stop it!
[–] QueenFanUSA (2737) 2 months agoFollowed up with this little non-referenced gem of a statement:
It's posting good numbers, yes, but it is still underperforming domestically.
[–] QueenFanUSA (2737) 2 months agoHow did that equate to explaining Frozen II's alleged domestic box office underperformance? The self-proclaimed Box-Office hobbyist has yet to chime in with an answer, any answer. QueenFanUsa remains strangely quiet. 🤔 Did he make the underperformance up? Was he joking or being ironically sarcastic?
Maybe that it's a sequel to the highest grossing animated film of all time and it's domestic OW didn't come close to the record?
[–] QueenFanUSA (2737) 2 months agoNext barrier to be hurdled of course requires "Legs".
Okay guys...it looks like a 130 million opening. That's very good and is the shot in the arm the industry needed. It should be able to have a strong hold through the Thanksgiving holiday. How it performs after THAT will give us a good idea of whether this matches the first film's domestic box office.
1) This is admittedly, MY OPINION but I think Frozen II underperformed domestically. It was a PHENOMENON that gained tons of fans AFTER it's theatrical release and it's sequel couldn't even get close to 500 million.
2) However, THIS is blatantly obvious:
It REALLY underperformed in Japan where it may not make HALF of what the first film did.
Japan was the second biggest market for Frozen after North America.

1) This is admittedly, MY OPINION but I think Frozen II underperformed domestically.
It was a PHENOMENON that gained ton's of fans AFTER it's theatrical release and it's sequel couldn't even get close to 500 million. In your OPINION Frozen gained TONS of non-verified, non-ticket buying, potentially merchandise consuming fans and that means to YOU that Frozen II underperformed because those uncounted FANS decided to NOT buy tickets that they never committed to buying. Did we get that right?
2) However, THIS is blatantly obvious:Last time any one checked a map, Japan is OBVIOUSLY neither in the West nor is Japan a part of the US Domestic box office. 😎 Japan is also NOT the total International box office that you need for your argument to have any veracity. Japan represented 29% of Frozen's (2013) final International Box office and Japan's Frozen II Box office is only 12% to-date, but your statements that you want represented as Fact and not mere subjective Opinion were premature and ill-advised.
It REALLY underperformed in Japan where it won't even make HALF of what the first film did.
Japan was the second biggest market for Frozen after North America. But Japan, as a single country OBVIOUSLY was not an indicator that the International Box office for Frozen II was underperforming. Now was it? That's not even an opinion nor fact worth discussing. Now is it? In every other country-market for Asia (except Japan) Frozen II outperformed Frozen. Japan over-performing for Frozen (2013) doesn't mean that Frozen II is under-performing. Frozen II is outpacing Frozen by ~$56 Million with at least another 100 days for a normal release. All of those International dollars for Japan's Frozen (2013) were made up spectacularly in other countries for Frozen II. share
I won't even compare it to Incredibles 2 domestic results where there was every reasonable expectation that a sequel to Frozen should have produced similar numbers.
The closest comparison I could find would have been Shrek 2 in 2004. It was a sequel to an unexpected animated smash that changed the industry to a more snarky, self-aware direction(which I HATED btw) and Frozen which reignited Disney's production of animated musicals and "princess" films.
Shrek 2's domestic gross adjusted for inflation?
652 million.
Frozen 2 won't even approach 500 million.
[–] QueenFanUSA (2739) 2 hours agoNo, there ISN'T any reasonable expectation that Frozen II should have performed like Incredibles 2.

Oh I get it. Frozen II in just plain ol' box office is outpacing Shrek 2 in Dom, Int and WW so you need inflation to diminish Frozen II's Box office results. share

[–] QueenFanUSA (2581) 4 hours ago...that has to re-start the fires I guess because the other studios surrendered or succumbed to their normal box office mediocrity? It's like that saying: http://decalmaniastudio.com/images/small/ifyoucantrunwiththebigdogs.jpg !
You realize that 2 of the 4 films you mentioned are also Disney releases, right?
