She wasn't trying to kidnap Christopher

... or at least she changed her mind. At one point you can see her laying him on the bed and trying to smother him with a pillow only to be interrupted by Jacob slamming the door downstairs.
Am I really the only one who noticed it?
Really confusing scene.

(Sorry for my English, it's not my native tongue)

I think she was trying to smother Jacob. Christopher was just laying there next to Jacob where she put him. She finally realized that Jacob was not in the bed.

I wasnt paying too much attention to that scene but how in the hell could she mistake Jacob not being in the bed before slamming a pillow supposedly onto his face to smother him? Scene made little sense any way you look at it.

he'd stuffed the bed to make it look like he was sleeping under the covers. she didn't bother pulling back the covers before attempting suffocation (because why would she?)

Guess I wasnt paying attention well there, but ya its strange she wouldnt want to see his face first before she goes to suffocate? Make sure that pillow is going to the right spot lol. Anyway, movie was poopoo by the end. Only good thing was that smokin hot actress playing the babysitter.

reply

Yes she was trying to smother jacob

reply

She tried smothering the oldest brother because he was her biggest threat.

Some of the filming in the second when the camera got closer and occasionally shaky was a bit confusing. Thank you IMDb folk for clearing this scene up, it didn't make sense to me either.
